On affected doors, the exterior door handle might not sit flush with the outer door panel or might move slightly when the handle is operated. Upon customer complaint, Rivian will apply new adhesive between the reinforcement and the outer panel.

After detachment, the ultrasonic sensor may become dislodged and hang inside the front fascia, causing customer notifications for sensor issues and potential sensor damage. Upon ultrasonic sensor detachment, Rivian will perform an ultrasonic sensor repair to secure the sensor to the front fascia.

This may result in damp or soggy carpets in the front of the vehicle. Upon customer complaint of wet carpet in the front of the vehicle, Rivian will inspect the component and replace any damaged parts, and reseal the case to prevent further water ingress.

While the vehicle is safely functioning as designed, some customers might be unaccustomed to the noise of the A/C compressor in an electric vehicle; such noise is usually not noticeable in vehicles powered by an internal combustion engine. Upon customer complaint of excessive cabin noise or vibration while the A/C compressor is running, Rivian will retrofit brackets on the A/C lines, and, if necessary, reroute a harness to reduce noise and vibration in the cabin. In some situations, the driver may notice a squeaking or chirping noise coming from the front of the vehicle when driving on uneven surfaces below 32 km/h (20 mph). Upon customer complaint of this squeaking or chirping noise, Rivian will replace the front hydraulic jounce lines with upgraded components to eliminate the noise.

If one or more cells were not manufactured correctly by the supplier, there is a potential for the cell to short circuit. If there is a cell short circuit, a fault message will illuminate on the driver display and in the mobile phone app alerting the driver to have service performed as soon as possible. The vehicle will also enter into a reduced performance safe-state mode. Rivian will replace the high voltage battery pack in suspect vehicles.
