The knock sensor for DIT engines is now utilized for NA engines to improve durability and resistance to heat.

This Service Information bulletin announces a design change to the clutch release bearing used on the models as listed above. During assembly of the bearing, a different type of grease is used which has a higher resistance to heat. In cases where the operator keeps a foot on the clutch pedal for extended periods, an increased amount of heat is generated which can cause the grease inside the bearing to deteriorate. In a case of prolonged clutch pedal application, seizure of the bearing can occur with potential damage to other related components.

This condition can only occur during the process of adjusting the steering column?s tilt position if the tilt lever is not pushed up all the way back up when completed. Should a customer present a concern with a low engine oil warning lamp illumination and the diagnosis indicate the oil level is full or nearly full (oil level between the full and add marks/holes on the dipstick) and the customer has not added any engine oil, the ECM must be updated with this new logic and the oil level switch specified below replaced. The new oil level switch part number supplied in this bulletin must be used. If the customer has added oil, determine how much was added. Based upon the information provided, estimate where the oil level was when the lamp illuminated in order to determine if additional action is required beyond what is described in this bulletin (e.g an oil consumption test). The ECM must still be updated with this new logic and the oil level switch replaced.
