To prevent this, a process was developed to secure the lines with wire ties. A new reinforcement cap has been developed to simplify this process at the DEF connection fittings.

Revised Field Service Campaign for FCCC School Bus Chassis Park Brake Alarm. On certain vehicles, the park brake alarm software parameter may be disabled. With a disabled park brake alarm, if the driver turns off the ignition without setting the park brake, the park brake alarm may fail to emit an audible sound. REVISION: Due to a software parameter change that was not updated at the host, the SF633 repair provided during August 2021 through August 2022 was not adequate. The host has been updated and the repair will now rectify the issue. SF633 has been re-released with a new termination date of September 30, 2023.

A new software update for the EV controller has been developed to correct this issue. Additionally, durability testing has determined that a crack could form in the coolant pump mounting bracket. A reinforcement brace has been designed to reduce the risk of this crack forming.

Thomas Built Buses Service Bulletin for Axle Flange Gasket Replaced with O-Ring. Daimler Trucks North America has released a new axle shaft to hub rubber O-ring (part number 11-30728-000) as a replacement for the paper gasket (part number 11-14418-000). The new O-ring will provide better sealing and is reusable. It is quicker and easier to use compared to the paper gasket, because using a paper gasket requires cleaning the hub when the axle shaft is removed.

Technical Service Letter for DD Platform Heavy Duty, Metal in the Oil and Oil Filter. Some engine component failures can cause metallic debris to circulate throughout the engine lubrication system. Although the oil filter will capture most of this debris, some debris may enter the clean side of the lubrication system during oil filter bypass. Detroit has created a lubrication system cleaning and flushing procedure to address this problem.
