Technical service bulletins are instructions a manufacturer sent its dealers about a known fault. They are not recalls and the work is usually not free, but they are the clearest signal of a problem the manufacturer already knows about.

On certain Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans, the MBUX multimedia system software might not meet specifications. Under very specific conditions, the MBUX multimedia system might not start and the display might remain black, or could reboot unintentionally after 50 seconds of initial startup. Accordingly, the rearview camera image might not be displayed or the display might be interrupted, which could increase a risk of a crash or injury. This affects the following Thor Motor Coach products: model year 2020 Citation, Siesta, & Synergy; 2020-2022 Delano & Tiburon; 2021-2022 Sanctuary & Tranquility motorhomes.

MBAG has determined that on certain Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vehicles that are equipped with electrically adjustable front swivel-seats, the seat wiring harness may be improperly routed or mounted within the swivel-seat frame and could become pinched and damaged during the electric adjustment of the seat position. If the wiring harness were to become pinched and damaged during adjustment of the swivel seat, in a worst case scenario, the operation of the seat-mounted side airbag might not operate properly and the side airbag could either deploy inadvertently or not deploy as designed in the event of a crash. This condition could increase the risk of injury in the event of a crash. This affects the following Thor Motor Coach products: model year 2021/2022 Sanctuary and 2021/2022 Tranquility motorhomes.

On certain Model Year 2020 Sprinter vehicles, the screws for the front door hinges may not have been tightened according to specification. If the door hinge screws are not tightened with the specified amount of torque, itâs possible that the pre-tensioning force of the screw could decrease and eventually cause a change in the opening/closing behavior of the door, as well as changes in door gap dimensions. This could increase the risk of injury in the event of a crash. This affects the following Thor Motor Coach products: model year 2021/2022 Sanctuary and 2022 Tranquility motorhomes.
Complaint counts are reports filed with NHTSA, not failure rates. A common model collects more of them than a rare one that breaks more often.
