The control arms of the front and trailing axles are equipped with a flexible ball-joint at the chassis side. Van Hool has several suppliers for the repair kit of this flexible ball-joint. All of the repair kits contain a flexible ball-joint, a spacer and a snap ring. Due to not equal thickness of the spacer in the different kits, it is important to install all three the kit parts when replacing a flexible ball-joint. Do not mix parts of different repair kits!

DESCRIPTION Van Hool has been informed about a harmless phenomenon regarding the front entrance door when the air suspension raising system is activated. Investigation has shown that when the raising system is activated, air is pulled out of the front passenger compressedair circuit causing the quick release valve in that circuit to a momentary switch. This can be noticed by a short soft sound of escaping air. Tests have shown that these fasteners must be installed with Loctite 243 and tightened to a torque of 90 ± 10 Nm (65 ± 7 ft.lbf). SUBJECT : Engine overheating due to an open or not properly closed access door with electric cooling fans CONDITIONS : This service bulletin does not entitle to any reimbursement. Your vehicle is equipped with electric cooling fans located at the inside of the access doors of the radiator and charge-air cooler compartment. To prevent personal injury due to running fans, a safety system with proximity switches prevents the cooling fans from running when the access door is open or not properly closed. The cooling system will in that case not operate causing possible overheating of the engine when this situation continues for a longer time. To prevent this from happening, it is important to follow the guideline below:

The MP10 and the INT69G are interchangeable, but fastening and electric connection are different.

Van Hool has released a wheel-end monitoring system (WEM) which can be installed on all vehicles equipped with light-alloy wheels. The WEM is installed at the outboard side of the wheel and monitors vibrations produced by the wheel bearing. It warns in case of bearing raceway spalling by flashing a red LED on the unit. The WEM is delivered with a magnet which is used to change from "transport" to "standstill" mode.
