Volvo Car Investigations have identified that there is a pairing issue with the key fob. As a result, there is a possibility that the customer’s key fob is not paired to the vehicle. The corrective action is to download SP Software. S10303 affects 151 vehicles in the U.S and 5 in Canada.

The battery will self-discharge over time and if allowed to be left at a sufficiently low voltage, it will become permanently damaged. The battery must have a minimum voltage of 9 volts to be installed in a vehicle.

There are two different methods in VIDA depending on version of fuel low pressure sensor (LPS), see attached document. The method in VIDA can be found if searching for VST operation 28405-2.

This is a Technical Journal: A whining or rattling sound may appear when revving up the engine. ( see attached sample files ). The sound may come from the balance shaft which is fitted in the oil sump area where the noise is most concentrated. A new design of the balance shaft is planned to be introduced 2018-Q2. Replace the balance shaft according the instructions in VIDA. Note: It's extremely important to adjust the new balance shaft with the correct tools according the instructions otherwise the sound may occur again in a short mileage.

DTC TCM-P089500 might not be stored even with above stated symptoms. PRODUCT MODIFICATION: A modified TCM software with better adaptation functionality for internal tolerance deviation in automatic gearbox. Material for analysis can be requested in Vehicle Report.
