Volvo Car USA LLC and Volvo Car Canada LTD (Volvo) on behalf of Volvo Car Corporation, has decided to launch Service Action S39893 on certain model year 2017 - 2018 XC90 and 2018 XC60 and S90 vehicles. Volvo has identified that the Vehicle Connectivity Module (VCM) backup battery may be depleted while the vehicle is plugged in and charging the high voltage battery. This could result in a ?Volvo On Call Service Required? message displayed in the Driver Information Module (DIM). This condition has no effect on the vehicle?s drivability or performance.

The customer may report that the infotainment system in the vehicle re-starts or reboots intermittently while driving. When this happens the CCD and the center area of the DIM will go blank for a few moments and then start back up as if the vehicle has just been started up. The customer may also notice that the infotainment system is not responding as normal (ex.- long response time) just before this occurs. When the system reboots, some customer settings may change back to a previous setting (ex.- navi destination, climate settings, radio station, etc.)

Please remove the front door midrange loudspeaker in accordance with VIDA instructions. The speaker must be inspected from the rear side of the woofer cone. Check for a screw stuck between the membrane and spider-cage assembly. See attached picture, "TJ 33419 screw.jpg". The screw may be possible to remove with long nose pliers without damaging the membrane or spider surfaces. If the membrane or spider surfaces are damaged, please replace the loudspeaker. A magnetic sleeve was introduced into the supplier assembly process during 2018w05 to reduce the possibility for this issue.

Volvo Car USA LLC and Volvo Car Canada LTD (Volvo) on behalf of Volvo Car Group, has decided to launch Recall R89910 on certain model year 2018 ? 2019 XC60 vehicles equipped with a Power Operated Tailgate (POT). Volvo has identified that the tailgate lifting arms (drive units) under certain conditions and cold temperatures may freeze. If this would occur, it may lead to noise or loss of function when operating the tailgate in freezing conditions with risk of separation of the tailgate lifting arms.In worst case scenario, this may result in complete separation of tailgate lifting arms with spring detaching and projecting in a rearward direction with significant force resulting in risk for personal injury.
