Technical service bulletins are instructions a manufacturer sent its dealers about a known fault. They are not recalls and the work is usually not free, but they are the clearest signal of a problem the manufacturer already knows about.

Model Year 2020 Zero SR/F Rear Rotor Bolts Re-Torque Service Campaign - Zero Motorcycles has determined that the rear rotor bolts on certain model year 2020 Zero SR/F motorcycles were insufficiently torqued. Owners of these motorcycles may find that these bolts will back out of their sockets slowly and scratch or damage the swingarm of their motorcycles. If the bolts were to back out sufficiently to contact the swingarm, this would also cause objectionable noise while riding. Owners should take their motorcycles to their dealer to have the rear rotor bolts re-torqued to 26 ft-lbs/36 Nm. As long as there is no damage to the bolts and they move when re-torqued, the rear rotor bolts do not need to be replaced and the existing lock patch will secure them in place. If the bolts are damaged or removed first, then they should be replaced by the dealer.
