Technical service bulletins are instructions a manufacturer sent its dealers about a known fault. They are not recalls and the work is usually not free, but they are the clearest signal of a problem the manufacturer already knows about.

ENGINE OIL FILTER ADAPTER THE ENGINE OIL FILTER ADAPTER (OFA) ON VEHICLES MAY LEAK OIL DUE TO IMPROPERLY TIGHTENED (LOOSE) ENGINE OIL FILTER ADAPTER BOLTS. IMPROPERLY TIGHTENED ENGINE OIL FILTER ADAPTER BOLTS WOULD ALLOW ENGINE OIL TO LEAK PAST ENGINE OIL FILTER ADAPTER RUBBER O-RINGS AND SEALS.
