CANISTER Vapor -If an issue is detected with the Evaporative System Integrity Module (ESIM) Detector and not the Vapor Canister, only replace the ESIM Detector. -Before replacing the Vapor Canister due to Hard to Fill condition, replicate the condition at the Gas Station. If the condition is replicated, then check: 1) for kinked or pinched Clean Air Hose between the ESIM and the EVAP Air Filter; 2) for plugged EVAP Air Filter; 3) for kinked or pinched Vapor Hose between the Fuel Tank and the Vapor Canister. If the EVAP Filter is restricted, the replace the Filter. -Check if the Vapor Canister is flooded with fuel or the Recirculation Line has fuel. If fuel is found in the Vapor Canister or the Recirculation Line, then drop the Fuel Tank, remove the FDM Lock Ring to check if the internal Vapor Line is properly connected to the FDM Port. If the Vapor Line is not connected, then drain the fuel from the internal Vapor Line and properly connect to the FDM. Replace the Vapor Canister and the ESIM.

If you have part numbers; 68507366, 68483780, 68384226 or 68384225, these parts do not utilize a replaceable gel pad, only replace the sensor for a missing or damaged gel pad. For part numbers 68298334, 68298468, 68607452 or 68194700 the gel pad should be replaced during all windshield replacements and can be ordered through MOPAR, complete sensor replacement is not necessary. The customer may describe one of the following: · **The radio temperature display does not match the HVAC controller temperature display. · After a temperature slide bar movement, the radio display shows the temperature slider waiting for about three seconds and then the slide bar jumps again. · Insufficient heating or cooling inside the vehicle.** · After the ignition has been turned off for over four minutes, the MTC HVAC controls change to a different setting. The temperature setting should remain where the temperature was last set at. When the temperature slider bar is left at mid way point or less, the setting will revert to a cooler setting depending on where it was set before.
